MINUTES OF THE MARCH 2, 2001 MEETING IN DENVER, CO
The meeting was called to order at the Colorado Chiropractic Association office at 1:00p.m. Those present included: John Downes, ICA; Brian Nook, FICS; Tom Hyde, FICS; Jeff Lease; Jeff Solomon, ACA; Tim Ray, ACA; Jim Lowrance, Prosport; Sandi Lowrance; Ron Krugman, ART.
President Brian Nook reported that we are waiting for the IOC/USOC meeting before we head to Salt Lake Olympic Committee. Questions arose about the organization of the international federations and their position in GAIFS.
John Downes reported on ICA communications and feedback. The ICA is receptive and wants to understand the bid picture of why they should be affiliated and the long-range implications.
Tim Ray reported that the ACASC meeting is next weekend.
Treasurer’s Report: approximately $10,700 in the account.
It was decided that $500.00 will be used initially for website development and appropriate monthly fees.Old Business:
It was decided to try to find a bank with national affiliation and international funds transfer capabilities. We are to also find a way to list our logo as a national trademark.
Changes in bylaws were brought up and discussed at length and in depth. A working copy was adopted and a task force was set up to build a policy manual. Those included on the Task Force were Tom Hyde, Tim Ray, Monty Wilburn, and Brian Nook.
A discussion of the Phoenix meeting in May resulted in a preliminary agenda with formal elections for the USSCF to be held at that meeting and a meeting date was set for May 2, 2001 at 9:00a.m.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:45p.m.on Saturday night.
